Truth Project for College and Career
Long Branch Covenant Church

by: Ravi Zacarias
Ravi Zacarias is the most popular of contemporary apologists. His ability to articulate and defend the gospel always amazes. Ravi is a cultural apologist and this book reveals his insight into the issues of culture. Ravi deals especially with the postmodern mind, provides clear analysis and proven answers.

by: Dan Story
Dan Story has some of the best books on "practical apologetics." This offering, The Christian Combat Manual, is his best yet. For someone going off to college this would be a necessary read.
Dan Story approaches apologetics differently than most. He goes on the offensive. Although he thoroughly understands apologetics as a "defense," he also sees it is a tool to strip arguments of their validity. Using the Socratric Method, Dan teaches the reader how to ask questions that corner the opposition.
The book is divided into 5 sections: Establishing Truth and the Reliability of the Bible, Creation or Evolution: Let the Evidence Speak for Itelf; We Can Demonstrate to Atheists that God Exists; Jesus Christ: Man of History or Man of Myth?; and Modern Issues: The World Beyond the Church.
This is a worthwhile book to understand the current battle of worldviews and apologetics

by: Neil Postman
This is one of the most insightful books into our present culture and it was written over 20 years ago. Postman had forsight to the impact video would have on our culture. This message must be read by everyone in the church.

by: D. A. Carson
D. A. Carson is one of my favorite authors/theologians. What I like about him is his clarity of thought and commitment to the Bible. In this book, D. A. looks at and criticizes the "emergent church" movement. He does so with real compassion and insight. Carson looks at some of the positive attributes of the emergent movement, but then looks at some of its leading spokesmen. Even there he is even handed and gracious. However, he doesn't hold back from calling a spade a spade. This is a must read for anyone looking into or has concerns about the emergent movement.

by: Christina Hoff Sommers
This is another "must read" as it reveals culture's current mood against boys. Sommers does extensive research and presents formidable arguments against the world's view of boys. As a woman, this makes a great case!
