Each of the 13 chapters is thorough enough to give the reader more than a grasp of the topics. This is a must for the bookshelf.

This is a comprehensive resource on apologetics and philosophy as it pertains to Christian apologetics. Geisler has taught apologetics for over forty years - these are his compiled notes on the subject. It is a "must" as a reference tool for any serious Bible student.
Defending Your Faith

Sproul's approach to apologetics is also classical. However, his book looks at the subjects surrounding the subject. Sproul mentions other authors and their contribution to the world of thought. This is a fundamental approach to apologetcs. Well worth the read

This is the classic on Christian apologetics. Dr. Geisler (Norm) is an incredible thinker and reading his works delivers time and time again. This book is used as a text book in Christian colleges on the subject of apologetics.
Subject matter begins with different ways to determine what is true to the evidence for Jesus Christ and the reliability of the Scripture.

This is an excellent primer on apologetics. It's the popular version of Dr. Geisler's course on the subject.

Becoming Conversant With The Emergent Church

D. A. Carson is one of my favorite authors/theologians. What I like about him is his clarity of thought and commitment to the Bible. In this book, D. A. looks at and criticizes the "emergent church" movement. He does so with real compassion and insight. Carson looks at some of the positive attributes of the emergent movement, but then looks at some of its leading spokesmen. Even there he is even handed and gracious. However, he doesn't hold back from calling a spade a spade. This is a must read for anyone looking into or has concerns about the emergent movement.
