NO PAT ANSWERS Seminars

A "pat answer" is a trite, glib, often rehearsed answer. In any presentation of the gospel or defense of the faith, a pat answer is inadequate. In fact, when you consider the person you are engaging in conversation, a pat answer is unacceptable. Both the presentation and person deserve much more than a pat answer.

At one time, I wanted to call my ministry No Pat Answers. Responses to those who question the gospel's veracity, the existence of God, or the nature of truth, must be given cogent,-thought out, compelling answers - not pat answers - Hence, No Pat Answers.

I began teaching apologetics and biblical worldview topics to help people understand, not only what to say or how to respond, but how to see things from the questioners viewpoint. It is understanding what an argument is and how to engage the person. Recently, I began teaching No Pat Answers seminars at my home church. So far I've done three.

No Pat Answers Seminars are presented several times a year on Saturday mornings, usually, from 9AM - 12Noon. In 2009, two seminars were held on classical proofs for the existence of God. One has been held in 2010 continuing on this theme. The topics have included The cosmological arguments, the design arguments, and the moral law argument. These topics have included arguments from "motion, cause, and contingency, some of Dr. Norm Geisler's 12 points, and the Kalaam argument. These all sound like heady subjects, but believe me - I make them useful and understandable.

I'm also available to do these seminars at your church. I'll come for a "love offering" and travel expenses. If you're close to the Jersey Shore, this could be an opportunity for you.

Contact me: if you'd like to set up one of these seminars.
