This 11th message in the series of Nehemiah demonstrates an attitude of "no compromise" when it comes the law of God. God's people had compromised on many sides, . . . they'd taken foreign wives, bought and sold on the Sabbath, and the worst, allowed Tobiah a place in the Temple. Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem to once again, demonstrate his zeal for God and leadership abilities.

Ray applies this message to the church today by showing how our commitment to Jesus Christ must be simple and pure. We must not compromise or let the devil deceive us from a simple and pure devotion to Christ. He then goes on to discuss some of the areas where we can easily compromise and how easy it is to be seduced. "Not lagging behind in diligence and being fervent in spirit," are two ways to stand against compromise and walk in God's love.
