Ideas Have Consequences #5 From Him, Thru Him, To Him Are All Things!

Series: Ideas Have Consequeces

God commands all things although it doesn't always seem so. The church is still taken captive like an undertow that pulls you out to deep water. Changing our view of life by seeing it through the lens of Scripture is a Biblical WorldView we all ought to have.

Ideas Have Consequences #4 Essentials of the Christian Faith

Series: Ideas Have Consequeces

Dr. Norman Geisler was the first person I'd heard teach that the Christian Faith has 14 non-negotiable, essential doctrines that provide for us the Gospel of Salvation. These are built on the presuppositions that there is a doctrine of salvation that declares, "I am saved, I am being saved, I will be saved." The Doctrine of Justification declares I am free from the penalty of sin; the Doctrine of Sanctification declares I am free from the power of sin; and the Doctrine of Glorification declares I will be free from the presence of sin.

Character is God's highest value in our lives. We are to grow into the image of Christ. The testing of our faith is what produces godly character.

Nehemiah #11 - Seeing the Work Through to the End- No Compromise

Series: Nehemiah-Model for Ministry

Nehemiah returns to Jerusalem to find that Eliashib, the high priest, has given a room to Tobiah, the Ammonite. Other problems Nehemiah faced were an assortment of foreign wives married into God's family. Nehemiah demonstrates a "no compromise" attitude toward all these violations of God's law.
